Yard Forman
We are seeking a dedicated Yard Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our yard. The ideal candidate will have experience in lumber yard management and possess strong leadership skills to ensure efficient workflow and quality control.
Duties:
- Supervise yard staff and coordinate daily activities
- Scheduling staff, reporting hours to our controller
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy
- Implement and enforce safety protocols
- Keep workers in the yard busy, managing the yard staff and truck drivers
- Collaborate with Management on processes and goals
- Keep the yard and the warehouses clean
- Keep staff motivated
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a lumber yard would be advantageous
- Experience as a Supervisor in a lumber yard would be a benefit
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
- Assertive, calm, and decisive
- Good communicator
- Able to operate a forklift if needed, has a current fork lift ticket.
- Must be fluent in the English language

DZ Drivers
We are seeking skilled and reliable Truck Drivers with a DZ license to join our team. A boom truck ticket would be advantageous. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various construction jobsites. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring that our products are delivered safely, on time, and without damage. These are full time roles, with no evenings or Sundays required.
Duties:
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials.
- Load and unload building materials on/from our trucks.
- Heavy lifting.
- Taking direction from our customers on job sites as to where materials are to be left.
- Taking direction from our yard foreman.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Service customers in our supply yard if need be.
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
- Commercial driving experience
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Experience with boom truck operation is an advantage
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record with 3 years of experience.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Be a team player and work well with others.
