Sand Mix Topping & Bedding Mix is a pre-blended mixture of sand and cementitious materials designed for topping & bedding applications. A high-strength, multi-purpose product designed for a variety of projects from crack repair to thick mortar beds, Sand Mix is often referred to as a high strength mortar in many “how to manuals,” but can also be used in contractor-grade concrete repair applications under 2” deep in addition to many others.

Features:

• High strength – 5,000 psi
• Concrete applications from 1/2” to 2” (12.7 to 50 mm)
• Highly flexible application ranges from high-strength concrete repair to thick mortar bedding
• Fine aggregates allow for superior workability and smooth finishing
• Meets or exceeds compressive strength requirements of ASTM C387

Applications:

Sand Mix is an extremely versatile concrete and mortar mix, ideal for products including but not limited to:

• Repairing wide cracks in concrete and masonry
• Shallow concrete repairs or construction from ½” to 2”
• Thick mortar bed applications, such as underneath ceramic tiles
• Dry pack shower pan installations
• Concrete overlays
• Filling masonry block cores
• Filling paver joints
• Note: Not recommended for laying brick or block
